Republic Services Update as of 12/17/2021Republic Services is pleased that they were able to reach agreements for new contracts with the union that represents Orange County employees. They take pride in providing all of our employees a total rewards package that includes competitive wages and comprehensive benefits. They look forward to resuming regular service in our communities as soon as tomorrow, and they are grateful to our municipal partners for their patience during this work stoppage. They appreciate the support and leadership of the City of Anaheim, which assisted in keeping the operation running and helped encourage a resolution.-Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Seal Beach, and Sunset Beach along with some commercial areas in Irvine, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach-Customer service phone for cities above: (714) 847-3581Procedures for missed carts week of December 13-17, 2021-They have fully resumed waste and recycling services as of Friday, December 17, 2021.-Residential waste and recycling service for Friday, December 17 will be collected on Friday, December 17, 2021.-Any residential waste and recycling services that were not collected for Thursday residential customers this week will be collected on Saturday, December 18, 2021.-Residential waste and recycling services for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be collected on their next scheduled service day.-Excess trash can be bagged and left next to the carts for this week only.-Bulky item collection services will resume Monday, December 20, 2021 but may be delayed as they recover accumulated waste.-Commercial & Industrial will resume as normal starting Friday, December 17, 2021.Thank you for your patience as Republic Services recover all accumulated waste.
