Please join us in welcoming our new Recreation and Community Services Manager, Yvette Aguilar. Yvette has been in the field of community and recreation services for the past 14 years. Most recently she worked for the City of Costa Mesa for five years and spent nearly nine years with the City of Covina. Yvette had the opportunity to serve in an acting capacity as the Parks and Community Services Director, where she worked with various departments and colleagues to update the arts and culture master plan, open space master plan, and was responsible for oversight of 30 parks, including a dog and skate park, and animal services. She also became a staff liaison for the Los Angeles Chargers and helped to coordinate their summer training with other departments. Yvette will be working out of the Center at Founders Village and is looking forward to working with new colleagues and joining the City of Fountain Valley team. Having originally come from a smaller more “hometown” city, she will be able to help continue the great work of the City through impactful programs and services. In her spare time, Yvette enjoys hiking, running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She’s an avid reader and writer and hopes to one day have the same impact on someone that so many great mentors have had on her.We know she is going to help make Fountain Valley a “Nice place to Live, Work and Play”! Welcome, Yvette!
