On Saturday, July 4, 2020, at 8:11 p.m., Fountain Valley Police Officers responded to a serious traffic collision on Euclid Street north of Edinger Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers discovered there was an unresponsive female pedestrian trapped under a white, 2012 Mercedes-Benz C250.The investigation revealed a white crossover type vehicle struck the victim prior to her being struck by the Mercedes. The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene is cooperating with investigators. The white crossover vehicle fled the scene immediately and FVPD investigators are actively working to identify the vehicle and driver. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the Orange County Coroner’s Office is working to confirm the identity of the victim. At this time, it does not appear alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision with regards to the known parties.
