Republic Services, trash hauler contract vendor, are committed to serving our community by collecting and processing your waste and recycling and by helping our restaurants and businesses during this difficult economic time. Beginning the week of March 23rd, they started providing meals to their employees two days a week using local restaurants. This is a way they show gratitude to their employees while supporting local restaurants who are hurting at this time. They spend approximately $7k for meals so it is really having a meaningful impact on those restaurants selected.Effective this week they expanded and include a $100.00 gift card for each frontline employee which will be distributed four times over the next eight weeks. Employees are encouraged to spend this money in the cities Republic Services serve. In total approximately $80,000 in goods and services will be spent in our local community during the next eight week.
