The City of Fountain Valley is a proud host to the Special Olympics Southern California Fall Games this weekend at the FV Recreation Center and Sports Park. On November 9 & 10, over 800 Special Olympics athletes from across Southern California will compete in soccer, softball, tennis & volleyball at the Sports Park, and golf at the David L Baker Golf Course. These games are not a single day of sports, but rather the culmination of months of sports training. Special Olympics is more than a sports program for people with intellectual disabilities. It is training for life that transforms communities and inspires people to accept and include those with intellectual disabilities.
