The City was awarded a Federal Grant from the Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) for Traffic Signal Modification Improvements at the following eight (8) intersections:Edinger Avenue at Ward Street Brookhurst Street at Heil Avenue Harbor Boulevard at Lilac Avenue Euclid Street at Slater Avenue Warner Avenue at Los Jardines West Ellis Avenue at Bushard Street Ellis Avenue at Ward Street Magnolia Street at Slater Avenue The traffic signal improvements include protected left-turn arrows, signal equipment including signal poles and mast arms, signal indicators, channelization, striping, and signal timing. These traffic signal improvements will enhance safety with improvements to driver visibility, sight distance, and reduce traffic delays.
