On Sunday, September 25, The City of Fountain Valley Recreation and Community Services Department is excited to host the Hyundai Hope On Wheels 5K and Color Fun Run at the Fountain Valley Sports Park, located at 16400 Brookhurst Street. There will be two separate races. The certified timed 5K will start at 8 a.m., with the Color Fun Run starting at 9 a.m. Serious runners can run the certified race and then join the fun at 9 a.m.! There will be a DJ, inflatables, and a family-friendly party atmosphere. The certified 5K race & Color Fun Run is $25 each or you can do the certified race and add on the Color Fun Run for just $5! That is two races for only $30. There is also a virtual race option if you would like to support but cannot be there in person. Proceeds will be split between Hyundai Hope On Wheels and local groups through the Fountain Valley Community Foundation. The school with the most combined race participants will win a free movie night. Get out there and support your school!To start the fun, a packet pick-up party will be On Saturday, September 24 at the Sports Park, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. At the pick-up party, there will be a DJ, inflatables, carnival games and a food truck.
